As shown in screenshot, as I start typing,suggestions show up, but nothing appears in the textbox.
But it is reproducible sometimes (say 5/10 times). See screenshot attached.

Does a build from the 16th have the same issue?

I cannot reproduce this happening on the build from the 16th. But as I said, it is only reproducible sometimes.

I reproduced this on the Mozilla Guest captive network textbox today. It has to do with form filler being open. From the attached screenshot, i was typing in the text (form filler picks it up), but the textbox wasnt' showing the characters.
This is on Nexus One, build: Mozilla/5.0 (Android; Linux armv71; rv:2.0b9pre) Gecko/20101217 Firefox/4.0b9pre Fennec/4.0b4pre
