The current implementation of the doorhanger notifications is somewhat a imitation.

On Aero, it is almost indistinguishable from the system default styling (for example time, volume, network and sharing, action centre on the notification area)

In Aero Basic there is no transparency whatsoever but the doorhanger still appears as the imitated Aero.

2. Un-integrated styling produced

I'm not sure what system default styles we have access to, but Asa listed some of the details of the system styles we should pick up for aero glass in bug 621608.

1. it's missing the "blur behind" effect of aero glass. (it's too transparent)
2. it's missing a proper horizontal white glaze effect. (should go from solid white and fade to transparent at top)
3. it doesn't respect the theme transparency on/off switch
4. it doesn't respect the theme window color or color intensity levels.

I think the most important thing to fix if we continue to fake the aero-glass here is to actually put some opacity on the aero "sky" blue color in the bottom 3/4ths of the window frame. I'll see if I can make a patch for this.
