Here's a list of various en/FileGuide/* pages, that need to be updated since the IO object was never a part of the platform (bug 414901): https://developer.mozilla.org/en/FileGuide/TOC This page also lists some older pages that use the standard XPCOM APIs for the same purpose. They appear to duplicate at least some information in the File Guide.
