User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.0; Trident/4.0; SLCC1; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; OfficeLiveConnector.1.5; OfficeLivePatch.1.3; .NET4.0C)
Build Identifier: Firefox 4.0 beta 9
When McAfee SiteAdvisor 3.3 plugin is enabled, I can search google, but the results page is not functional. I can't click on any links. When I close firefox, I am prompted with the usual save session / quit / cancel box. When I choose the quit option, it doesn't kill the process. In order to restart firefox, I have to kill the process in task manager.
When the plugin is disabled, everything works fine.
Side note: I can't disable the siteadvisor through firefox, because it is trying to load my saved session (which apparently hangs most of firefox), and that prevents me from seeing the add-on window. Alas!
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Do a google search with McAfee SiteAdvisor 3.3 add-on enabled.
2. Try to do anything in firefox other than close firefox.
Actual Results:
Great sadness.

Is Siteadvisor even compatible with Firefox beta 9? Please contact Mcaffe, they need to fix this, we can't.

We're now tracking such bugs. This doesn't mean it's something we can fix, merely something we hope to be able to point vendors to so they can investigate. This is an automated message.

Louis -> Is this still an issue with that latest version of Firefox and McAfee SiteAdvisor?
Tim -> Don't know, I switched from McAfee to Norton Internet Security. Running 6.0.1, everything functions normal. Thank you for checking up on this.

Went through the following issue using the following builds/versions:
- latest Nightly build available here: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2013-03-07-03-09-26-mozilla-central/
- McAfee SiteAdvisor 3.6.0.187
- Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 x86
Searched through several websites using the "CTRL + K" search box without any issues. Once the search results appeared, selected several results without any problem. (Opened them in new windows, tabs, same window). Went through this several times with different search terms.
Louis, I know you mentioned that you have stopped using McAfee's SiteAdvisor, but can you reproduce your original issue with the latest version of the Nightly build?
