I've seen this without doing any tabcandy things. Can't reproduce on command, but see it fairly often. Started happening in the last week or two.

I'm not sure on what I'm being asked to block. Help me with STR and maybe I'll reconsider, but for a once-in-a-while visual glitch, I don't feel very compelled at the moment.
Maybe check for errors in the console, too?

I saw this in the search box yesterday. Sorry, I don't have good STR.
It's a recent regression, as I've never seen it happen ever, until when I reported this bug. I've seen it twice in the location bar and once in the search box.
Cc'ing Neil. Since it occurred in both location bar and search box, it's possibly a XUL issue. Or maybe gfx?

Bug 628861 might be a reproducible version of this.
