I am unsure if this has been reported already (found on Nexus One and Droid II with 20110126 nightly) (1) tap on an input field in the bottom half of a page or click on bookmark (star symbol in right pane) and then edit Result: VKB shows up and covers input fields Expected: VKB shows up and scroll up content behind it so input fields are fully visible See attached videos (sorry they are mirrored, but you get the idea)

hmm, it looks like your keyboard does not resize the fennec window when it come up which is not the behavior expected. Have you turn on some special settings on your phone?

Vivien: what "special settings" could those be? I installed the nightly from scratch and only have a few add-ons installed: Nightly, Full Screen, Quit Fennec, and Personas. Turning add-ons off does not solve the problem. But it somehow disappears after a while - currently everything works fine (input fields scroll up above VKB). Sorry I don't have a reliable way to reproduce :-/

I was thinking about some phone settings, not something related to Firefox/Fennec. Otherwise it could mean that one of the addons is breaking our code to reposition things. I assume you see nothing in the JS console? (btw, thanks for the Videos)

Sorry, nothing relevant in error console (other than connection errors for sync). This is hard to reproduce. However, I just saw it again on a newly wiped Nexus S with freshly installed Beta 4. I see the same thing, then, after a while this somehow seems to "self-heal". I'll update this bug should I find out any more concrete details.

Mozilla /5.0 (Android;Linux armv7l;rv:2.0b12pre) Gecko/20110202 Firefox/4.0b12pre Fennec /4.0b5pre I can see a similar behavior following the steps: 1. Go to http://bugzilla.mozilla.org 2. Zoom in around the input search field (Quick Search) 3. Make sure that after you zoom in, the input search field is in the bottom half of the screen so that when the VKB pops up would cover it. 4. Tap in the search field. Actual results: The VKB pops up. It covers the input field. Press the delete key from the VKB -> This makes the input field visible to the user. Please see the video: http://www.youtube.com/user/qaioana#p/u/0/abydG_RpjQw Expected results: The VKB pops up and should resize the fennec window. The input field should be visible to the user.
