From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.76 [en] (X11; U; SunOS 5.8 sun4u) BuildID: 2000121421 When closing a browser window that was opened from code in a previously-displayed page, mozilla dumps core (reproduced on three tries out of three). However, if I go to the same page "manually" by typing the URL into the location bar, then close _that_ browser window, mozilla behaves correctly. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to http://www.pdn-pix.com/pix/column/ 2. Part-way down the page, take the link to http://us/imdb.com/ 3. Wait for the link to open in a new browser-window. 4. Close the new window using the File->Close menu-command. Actual Results: Mozilla says: Error loading URL http://www.pdn-pix.com/pix/column/: 804b0002 Document http://www.pdn-pix.com/pix/column/ loaded successfully in SetSecurityButton Error loading URL http://us.imdb.com/: 804b0002 Segmentation Fault - core dumped Expected Results: The child window should close quietly. I can't see any scripting code in the http://us.imdb.com/ source, so I'm guessing that this is a separate issue; hence the new bug report. Apologies if I've misunderstood this.
Crash on exit also reported on windows95 and 98 (bug 62931) It's been crashing on linux the past days as well.
Depends on: 62738
worksforme linux build 2000-12-19-08
worksforme with 122008 on linux.
No longer depends on: 62738
Reporter can you please re-test with a nightly build? We used to get a lot of reports about this bug one week ago, but now not anymore, so I would think it has been fixed. Thank you! Fabian.
The problem seems to be fixed in build 2000123121.
Marking as FIXED, per reporter's comments. Please feel free to reopen any time if you see this again (or file another bug if it's not exactly the same error). Thanks! Fabian.
