Spinoff of bug 621873. By default I don't think we should just add ourselves.

Is this strictly post-fx-4 as per bug 621873 comment 5?

Yes, there are string changes required. I have already created mockups for UX for this and other work on the installer for Firefox next which is planned to have a very short release cycle.
We're past string final-last-call-all-done-finito string freeze -> blocking-.

It's my taskbar. Don't touch it, please. Especially not without asking.
I have to concur with Roman above. Please read (and appreciate) the following blog entry about this by well-respected Microsoft veteran Raymond Chen: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/oldnewthing/archive/2006/11/01/922449.aspx Furthermore, please note that the API documentation about the ITaskbarList3 interface explicitly states that “Applications cannot programmatically pin themselves to the taskbar. That functionality is reserved strictly for the user.” http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd391692%28VS.85%29.aspx By all means you can provide instructions to the user on how to pin the icon. The decision of whether to do this or not must still be up to the user however.
As the person that filed this bug to provide the user with an option to pin to the taskbar and will likely end up having to do this work I also concur. ;) No more advocacy comments please. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/page.cgi?id=etiquette.html
