If a user has java disabled, they never get prompted to get the plugin An admin also has no pointers to a location to get a java plugin for system use without running mozilla itself. Could you please add a(some) link(s) to java plugins? Thanks
When I run mozilla and go to any page with a Java applet, I'm directed to go to ftp://ftp.netscape.com/pub/netscape6/english/6.0/windows/win32/smartupdate/jre13i.exe ftp://ftp.netscape.com/pub/netscape6/english/6.0/unix/linux22/smartupdate/ . But I can't seem to get that version installed (see Bug#: 56660); is there a better version elsewhere ?
Accepting bug. Looking into Java resources...

Is there a related bug about adding a document to "end user documentation", i.e. Help, specifying how to get Mozilla to work with Sun's JRE plugins? We could use Henrik Gemal's site as a reference: http://www.gemal.dk/mozilla/java.html
Arun, any comments on the plugin story for Java? CCing Jatin for potential impact to release notes or other help docs.

I looked in the 1.3a release notes and there is a link to get JRE from Sun.
