Over in bug 625496 and bug 625497, we're implementing Clear Recent History/Forget about this site for plugins. This, for example, will allow users to clear Flash LSOs and site preferences when they choose "cookies" in the CRH dialog. http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Clear%20Recent%20History Adobe would like us to update the messaging on our KB article to reflect that. Our implementation will clear plugin data when "Cookies" is checked in the dialog. I would propose changing the "Cookies" section to read: "Cookies store information about websites you visit, such as site preferences or login status. This includes information and site preferences stored by plugins such as Adobe Flash. Cookies can also be used by third parties to track you across sites." (The 'tracking' part is ancillary, but I think we should include that while we're here.) This will be implemented in Firefox 4.
Hi Dan, I moved this to our Knowledge Base articles forum since we no longer track articles in bugzilla. https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/forums/knowledge-base-articles/704961
