Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20101203 Firefox/3.6.13
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20101203 Firefox/3.6.13

If the search bar is not shown, either due to the navigation bar being hidden, or the browser being in fullscreen mode, then Google is always used as the search provider when text is highlighted and right-clicked. This occurs even if an alternate search provider had been selected prior to the search bar being hidden.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Change provider in search bar to something other than Google.
2. Switch browser to fullscreen mode.
3. Highlight text and right-click. Notice that the search provider used is Google. This also means that the search page brought up when Ctrl-K is pressed is always Google.
Actual Results:
Google is always used as the search provider, even if another one was selected prior to search bar being hidden.

Expected Results:
Search provider used should be the most recent one selected in the search bar.

Note that even if another search provider is placed in the topmost position in the "Manage Search Engine List" dialog, Google will still be used by default. The only way to prevent this is by removing Google entirely from the list of search providers. If that is done, then Firefox will default to using whatever search provider takes the topmost slot.
Version: unspecified → 3.6 Branch
This is the expected behavior.
