* Clean/new profile * create an account use ludovic@casema.nl * use benb as the password * ispdb detects the settings * press create an account * agree to the security warning. Password fails to be verify but TB doesn't tell you that and it seems that checking the password takes forever. requesting blocking as this renders the account wizard unusable if you misstype your password. marking a a regression because this used to work.
I can reproduce on casema.nl = opo.zippo.nl, but not on gmail.com, so the server seems to be doing something weird and offensive, like just closing the connection. Still, we shouldn't hang in that case.
Summary: No feedback when the password is wrong → [autoconfig] No feedback when the password is wrong and server misbehaves
bienvenu, I guess this is just another instance of "we don't notice / pass on when the connection was terminated on the server side". This is POP3, even. IIRC we have another bug about this, other symptom, same cause.
Summary: [autoconfig] No feedback when the password is wrong and server misbehaves → [autoconfig] No feedback when the password is wrong and POP3 server misbehaves
> opo.zippo.nl Sorry. pop.zippo.nl
This may get fixed by the patch on bug 428611 which I hope to review soon.
Depends on: 428611
