User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:2.0b12pre) Gecko/20110219 Firefox/4.0b12pre
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:2.0b12pre) Gecko/20110219 Firefox/4.0b12pre
Updated my Minefield (Firefox 4 beta) and suddenly the GUI looks bad. Rendered content appears to be fine still, but the Navigation Toolbar seems to glitch, black vertical lines appear, and the fonts do not render pretty.
I went through the nightly builds to identify when this occurred. Up to (and including) the FireFox 4.0 Beta 12 (2011-02-18) version, things looked good:
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2011-02-18-03-mozilla-central/firefox-4.0b12pre.en-US.win64-x86_64.installer.exe
I'll attach a screenshot of how good things looked 2011-02-18 or earlier (20110218.png).
All the versions after that, starting from 2011-02-19, and until today's Beta 13 build, all seem to have bad GUI rendering. I'll attach it as 20110219.png.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Launch Minefield (FireFox 4.0 Beta).
2.See the GUI poorly rendered in Navigation Toolbar.
3.Web pages seem to render fine however.
Actual Results:
See attached 20110219.png
Expected Results:
See attached 20110218.png
I was using the default theme that comes with FireFox. My computer is a HP EliteBook 8440P (notebook). Graphics is NVIDIA NVS 3100M. Happy to provide any other info you might need.
I also tested the latest Beta 13 nightly on my Dell desktop that has ATI HD3450. It also has poorly rendered GUI. I updated my ATI driver to the latest (dated 2011-01-26) and the poor GUI rendering is still there.
