Did you nuke the database as well as turning gloda off before trying the test?

no nuke. just restart TB after disable gloda.

The litmus test case is incorrect. Gloda is only used for mutation detection. The snippets come from explicit streaming using MsgHdrToMimeMessage.

(Streaming will *not* happen for newsgroups though, ever. Probably anyone who thought the litmus test passed was trying with newsgroups...)
