Anything in Tools -> Error console ?
Firefox cannot use the profile "Joe" because it is in use. [my comment]: sure it's in use; firefox[2 TWO instances] is opened. To continue, close the running instance of Firefox or choose a different profile. Tools->Error console: Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIExternalProtocolService.loadUrl]" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://communicator/content/contentAreaClick.js :: openLinkExternally :: line 188" data: no]
bump... anyone of developers? this is a real bug for people who use multiply profiles on one sharing computer...

(In reply to comment #4) > bump... anyone of developers? this is a real bug for people who use multiply > profiles on one sharing computer... Does it also happens if you start in -safe-mode (see http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode) ?
