reproduce:
create two link/account firefox with cmd option  -P -no-remote
VERY IMPORTANT FIRST OPEN TWO ISTANCES WEB BROWSERS:
open two instances of firefox (did it default system web  browser)
after open two thunderbird with cmd option  -P -no-remote instances
open any message click any link open windows asking which one account click any
result: thunderbird does not open web page.

Actual Results:  
thunderbird does not open web page.

Expected Results:  
thunderbird must open web page in instance I clicked on asking windows.

tired that open source so much wait long time
Anything in Tools -> Error console ?
tonight I will do..
Firefox cannot use the profile "Joe" because it is in use. 
[my comment]: sure it's in use; firefox[2 TWO instances] is opened.
To continue, close the running instance of Firefox or choose a different profile.

Tools->Error console:

bump... anyone of developers? this is a real bug for people who use multiply profiles on one sharing computer...

Does it also happens if you start in -safe-mode (see http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode) ?
