Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.15) Gecko/20110303 Ubuntu/10.10 (maverick) Firefox/3.6.15 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.14) Gecko/20110223 Thunderbird/3.1.8 Even if "Wrap around" is checked, the search does not wrap. It simply stops at the end of the message. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Reply to an email message. 2. Search for a string which occurs at least twice in the message. 3. Make sure "Wrap around" is checked. 4. Repeatedly click "Find Next". Actual Results: Instances of the find text are found until the last one. Subsequent clicks on "Find next" do nothing. Expected Results: "Find next" at the last instance should find the first instance.
Does this happens all the time or is it only on some special messages ? Anything in Tools -> Error console when you are having the issue ?
All the time, no messages in Error Console.
(In reply to comment #1) > Does this happens all the time or is it only on some special messages ? > And does it happen if you start Thundebird in -safe-mode (see http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode) ?
Yes, exactly the same.
hum so you want to be able to search for quoted text right ?
No, any text anywhere in the message body. It already does that - It searches my reply, the original message, and the original message signature, as expected. I'm editing in plain text mode, in case that's relevant.
