Highly suspect this is not app update specific especially now that app update in Firefox 4 uses essentially the same API's as crash reporter and others.

Regarding ProcessUpdates, there have been 24 crashes in the last 4 weeks for all Firefox versions except Firefox 3.6 and below which include the patch from bug 616775.

Regarding GetFileContents, there have been 2313 crashes in the last 4 weeks for all Firefox versions except Firefox 3.6 and below.

It looks like the issue with freecorder causing a crash in PR_Read which app update uses has more recent work in bug 1205987 so duping.
