User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.15) Gecko/20110303 Firefox/3.6.15 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.15) Gecko/20110303 Firefox/3.6.15 During applet loading, if user types into the location bar, editing of the URL is disabled. When a page with an applet loads, first we see the Java-loading icon (A). Shortly thereafter the applet starts initializing (B) and is finally loaded. During Time B, but not Time A, if the user types into the location bar to, for example, change the URL by adding a search, the location bar becomes locked, editing is disabled, and no characters are added. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to the above URL, and while the page is loading, starting typing into the location bar. Do not stop typing until the applet is fully loaded. This will be more difficult the second time it is tried, because the applet is now cached locally and will take far less time to load, so the second time you may have to be fast. Actual Results: At some point typing is disabled in the location bar. Expected Results: no such disabling; typing is allowed to continue. It has been found that typing into a text area on the page re-enables typing into the location bar.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.16) Gecko/20110319 Firefox/3.6.16 Confirmed. Typing freezes on the location bar while the page is loading.
