User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.15) Gecko/20110303 Firefox/3.6.15 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.15) Gecko/20110303 Thunderbird/3.1.9 Tabs in ThunderBird are Always still there on a close and re-open. (Tabs in FireFox go away when FireFox closes.) If I have opened many tabs during a mail session, I am forced to close them all by hand. There should be an option to have ThunderBird "forget" open tabs on a close of the program. I would use such an option. Others might not. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.open a mail item, and another, and another 2.close ThunderBird 3.start Thunderbird. all the open items are still open. Actual Results: All opened tabs were still open. This is inconvenient when dozens, or hundreds, were opened. Expected Results: For me, tabs would go away after close and restart. As a minimum, there would be an option at program close to save open tabs. None. This is a general, all-options and all-configurations annoyance.
The current default (and only) behavior is "session restore" which restores the status (tabs and folders selected) when Thunderbird was closed. A bug report is pending already to make this configurable as it's not everybody's favorite.
