I've seen this under Linux too (Built from http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-2.0/rev/6be9e31d01b4) Actually, I don't think Firebug has anything to do with this, it just makes the issue more obvious. Without Firebug running the URL is still displayed over the sidebar, but it probably ought to just be over the viewport.
