Per sid0:

Create following folder hierarchy:

folder1
  folder 2
    folder 3

collapse folder1

Create child folder of folder3, with folder1 still collapsed

expand folder1 and folder2

folder3 should have a twisty by it, and it won't. The reason is that the folder pane bails out when the grand-parent is collapsed, but the child already has its children calculated, and doesn't realize it has to recalculate the children.

It might be possible to see this bug with one less level of hierarchy, but I didn't, so putting the reproducible steps down for the sake of reproducibility.
