User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0.1pre) Gecko/20110411 Thunderbird/3.3a4pre When I compose a new message and the message is (automatically) saved as draft (e. g. every minute) and then I send that message and the send attempt fails (in my case: send now; NOT send in background), and I press "send" again and this time the message is sent successfully, then TB doesn't delete the previously saved draft. (Remark: It's an IMAP account; not sure, if it has something to do with.) Reproducible: Always

(PS: It's a Gmail account - just for information.)
I can confirm this. But it's not clear to me when it happens. Also sometimes (when I take a long time between starting and sending) many draft messages are created and not removed when sending the message.
Can you still reproduce using a current version?

I switched to using the draft folder under local folders. This way the drafts didn't get uploaded to the server (usefull when there are large attachments). This also solved the problem. But just in case I did a quick test and it seems not to happen any more. But it's been too long and I don't know how to trigger it any more.

Thanks for the update. If you find in the future that you can reproduce please reopen he bug
