I am a bookkeeper and several of the financial statements that I have to download from various institutions (such as Wells Fargo Bank) are .cgi files. I have always been able to download them in one quick and easy step with previous versions of FireFox in which they automatically open as pdf's. I have to use multiple steps to open them now (download, go to that file, right click, open with, choose Adobe, etc). I've tried changing pref's and such but to no avail.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.sign on to a financial institution (bank, investment acct...)
2.choose to download statement
3.double click on the status bar
Actual Results:
I get the following error message: Users/loripaul/Downloads/session-77.cgi could not be opened, because an unknown error occurred. (If I click OK, I can then double click the file on the downloads bar and it will go into the downloads file)
Expected Results:
They used to just open right up as a pdf with Adobe Acrobat.
