Do you have the IceTea plugin installed ?
Please disable the plugin under tools/addons/plugins and try it again

libclearlooks.so is loaded so looks like a Clearlooks theme is being used on Ubuntu maverick.  (Can't reproduce on my Gentoo system here.)
