After installing mozilla (from mozilla-win32-0.7-installer.exe) it tries to 
start but hangs. There are 9 threads started it took about 13MB real memory and 
9MB allocated virtual memory. All I can see is the splash screen even after 
30mins of waiting nothing changes.
This problem may be caused from from previous version of mozilla and/or 
Netscape4.7 or Netscape6. I never succeded to install Netscape6 . Have Netscape 
4.75 installed. Several times I've cleaned up mozredistry.dat. Also I've tried 
to cleanup the windows registry from various Mozilla things but nothing happens. 
I've tried with different profiles - migrated, created and so on... and no 
success.

Since 2 months ago I cannot start any build of Mozilla on my computer.
The program viewer.exe can be started and it works correctly.
I cannot identify any reason for this - everything except Mozilla work just 
fine.


I'm sorry that this is not a easily reproducable bug, but I'll be very happy if 
there's a workaround and it's described in the release notes.

Any recommendations are welcome.

awwww this is a hard one :-) I'm marking this New as very probably nobody here
will reproduce this (install on your machine ;)), so it's off the unconfirmed
radar. We'll try to fix your problem :-)
As a start, you might tell us if you ever succeeded in installing Mozilla
before, and if yes, what caused it to stop working. I'm guessing Netscape6.
This will not be easy to fix.. more than likely a problem with your machine but
we'll do the impossible to try and get it to work :-)

I Really sorry for the spam.

I managed to start mozilla by deleting the old profile that was migrated from 
Netscape 4.7 by previous Mozilla versions and creating a new one.
I don't know what and when went wrong between version. I used to download a 
mozilla-win32.zip extract it and it runs and at once this stopped it was 
somewhere in the beginning of december but as I didn't have any spare time I 
didn't try enough things. Now mozilla starts OK except that I cannot use my 
Netscape Profile.

It stopped to work somewhere around M18. I was trying to install a localization 
pack for Bulgarian but it was for M16 - I tried to copy thing from chrome 
directory which resulted from unzipping the zip file. Then Mozilla started 
crashing. I erased everything I could though reinstalled all kinds of Mozilla, 
Netscape6 and just now I manage to start it.

This seems similar to bug 56581. I think you can resolve this as 
duplicate of 56581.

I prefer marking worskforme, if you don't mind. These bugs are so special,
specific to one machine (also you're not running winME). Please reopen if you
find this problem again.
