User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_5_8; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.19.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.3 Safari/533.19.4 Build Identifier: Thunderbird/3.1.10 The blue pop-up screen that displays the new message received, often displays the wrong message. It usually displays the previous email received, even if this email has been read. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Receive new email 2. Note sender 3. Try multiple times Actual Results: Sometimes pop-up notified previously read email, sometimes it notified of new email. Expected Results: Display new email(s) in pop-up notification every time. I have 4 accounts going to my Thunderbird. 3 of them are shared. All 4 are gmail accounts. It doesn't make any difference which account the email goes to.

I can confirm this issue in Linux Mint 19, Cinnamon, Thunderbird 60.2.1. The notification behaviour is as described above and it is not always (but is sometimes) the most recent email which is notified. Thunderbird settings for notification (Preferences -> General, When a new message arrives) are Show an alert (ticked) Customise -> show subject and sender, but not message preview
Severity: normal → S3
