Please, provide "Auto-Expunge" options (mail.imap.expunge_option) directly in TB's UI (e. g. under account settings) - and not just as a hidden Pref.
Would have saved me two years of frustration, assuming not having that option available in TB. Now only found that hidden pref by accident through a google search :-( Guess there are more people having the same problem...
(If an integration to TB's UI is n/a, an alternative would be to leave it a hidden pref and always default to "mail.imap.expunge_option = 1" (since most people might want this w/o knowing what expunge is at all...))

mail.imap.expunge_option
- 0 means it will never occur
- 1 means it always occurs
- 2 means expunge the deleted messages when there are at least 20 messages waiting to be expunged. You can change the threshold using mail.imap.expunge_threshold_number.
