User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.16) Gecko/20110430 Iceape/2.0.11 Build Identifier: Thunderbird 3.1.10 With Thunderbird 3.1.10 in Linux (Ubuntu 11.04 Natty), when View/Headers/All is selected, the headers all shift (indent) to the right, causing the From: header information to be chopped off by the row of reply/forward buttons. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Launch Thunderbird 2.Open an e-mail 3.Select View/Headers/All Actual Results: The headers all shift (indent) to the right, causing the From: header information to be chopped off by the row of reply/forward buttons. Expected Results: Perhaps the headers should not be shifting to the right when View/Headers/All is selected. When View/Headers/Normal is selected instead, the headers do not shift/indent to the right and remain at the left side, where the information is not chopped off by the buttons.
Version: unspecified → 3.1
This occurs only when the Layout is set to either Classic (default) or Vertical. Everything is far over to the left when Wide is selected, resulting in the complete headers being seen.

would this be helped by Bug 543954 - Rewrite mail header pane in XHTML ? (doesn't happen in standalone message window)
Summary: Headers shift to right causing From header to be chopped off by reply/forward buttons → Headers shift to right causing From header to be chopped off by reply/forward buttons when message preview width is reduced
I don't see this. Once the From field wouldn't fit next to the buttons, it drops down a row so you can see it again.
This is WFM in current daily. And per squib. Please comment if you see otherwise
