Details
I'm using a date-sorted Group by Sort thread pane in latest nightly builds (3.4a4pre) on Windows.
I expand all threads when I open mail in the morning but any incoming message threads arrive collapsed.
Incoming messages should respect my expanded threads state.

There is no "expanded threads state" per se, just an "expand all threads" command. But it's perfectly reasonable to want such a state, or an option to have new threads come in expanded.

Could be a dupe of bug #387098?
If _Today_ thread is expanded, tomorrow when _Today_ thread become a new empty thread, first new incoming mail collapse the thread because TB don't remember (generally speaking) threads status when sort by date group by sort is set.
Do you agree?
