The Quick Filter needs a search by Age, particularly if you are searching in the Body texts, because a lot of the time you're just looking to find a message that recently came in to reply to it

Recommended Solution:
Have a quick filter button for age within 30 days (default; could be set by a value in Preferences)
Could even have a button which when you shift-click pops up a prefilled 30 (days or whatever the default is) and you can alter it to another figure for that quick-filter search

This is doable with the global search, you know that right ?

of course :) but that's just the same with all the other quick-search capabilities, such as "has an attachment"; the idea of a quick search, is that it's quick and easy, rather than doable with the more advanced searcher :)
part of that is ease of just pressing a button rather than typing, and also a little bit of the visual aspect of a button over a set of identical combo boxes with field entries. The body-search in the quick filter is definitely reduced for me when the folder is large :)
