WFM with Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; rv:5.0a2) Gecko/20110515 Thunderbird/3.3a4pre. Does it works better if you start Thunderbird in -safe-mode (see http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/Safe-Mode) ?
(In reply to comment #2) > WFM with Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; rv:5.0a2) > Gecko/20110515 Thunderbird/3.3a4pre. > > Does it works better if you start Thunderbird in -safe-mode Exactly the same behavior.
What happens when you try? Any error message? Does Thunderbird "hang" for a while or just not doing anything whatsoever?
If I try to open appeared message about empty attachment. If I try to save there are no message and no file at disk.
There is the file with message. Just try open.
I couldn't reproduce on Linux either, but on Windows 7, I see the behavior stated in comment #5. The key seems to be the ".mht" suffix of the attachment, which for some reason causes an issue. Thus confirmed, but marking duplicate as it has been reported before related to this specific attachment type.
