Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1
I have experienced this issue with the auto-updater: language pack is not updated after language changed. For example:
1) Download portable firefox 4.0: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/portableapps/FirefoxPortable_4.0_English.paf.exe
2) Download custom language pack and install: http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/4.0/win32/xpi/
3) Change the interface language to the new one: about->config->useragent.locale->Set the proper
4) Restart browser and see that language has changed.
5) Update firefox to 4.0.1 from Help menu. Restart and see that it is using again en-US english (custom set languages are not auto-updated).
- NOTE: with language packs the language for search engines is not updated. For example, searching from the google search bar at the right of the address bar will search always in the www.google.com searching results in english instead of localized language. Typing something in the address bar and clicking enter does the same behaviour.
Expected behaviour: a new search engine should be added for the current language, keeping the old. For example if I localize to german add 'google (German)' and keep the old englush.
Reproducible: Always

Version: unspecified → 4.0 Branch
There should be an option to change user interface language, and automatically download and install the proper language pack and auto-update it from now own.
