We're going to have a long-lived update path on the beta channel for users of 3.7a3 - a5, and 4.0b1 - 4.0b7 that takes them up to our fake beta 5.0b1. Currently we're pointing at a location in firefox/nightly which will go away at some point, but we have a copy of the files in firefox/releases which will always be present in firefox/releases. But, we redirect requests to http://ftp.m.o/.../firefox/releases to releases.m.o, so need to figure something out there.
