User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20110511 Firefox/4.0.1 SeaMonkey/2.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20110511 Firefox/4.0.1 SeaMonkey/2.1 about:support, Profile Directory, provides a button to "Open Containing Folder" (or "Open Folder" as proposed, Bug 559500), but how about /displaying/ the Profile Directory path/name too. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. about:support 2. look at 'Profile Directory' Actual Results: What have you learned? Nothing. You don't know where the Profile Directory lies until you click the button. Expected Results: The Profile Directory path/name should display alongside the Open button. That way, you needn't necessarily even have to worry about whether it's called a "Directory" or a "Folder", it can simply say, "Open" ;-) . Suppose this really should be filed to cover FF too, but if it only makes it into SeaMonkey, it will be a benefit.

about:support is toolkit code shared with Firefox and SeaMonkey. Thunderbird has their own peculiar version.

As far as I can remember, this is on purpose. There is almost no use for the user to be able to see the path to their profile unless they want to go to that directory, which is what the button is for. A lot of effort has gone in to hiding the profile path as it is something that can be combined with an exploit to increase its effect. Jesse will know more but I suspect this is WONTFIX.
Yeah, we don't want users accidentally giving away their OS username or profile nonce every time they paste from about:support. See bug 367596 comment 85.
