User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; rv:5.0) Gecko/20110518 Thunderbird/3.3a4pre ID:20110518000038 I'm running Litmus test 1 (global request return receipt) in return receipts using Thunderbird 3.3a4pre ID:20110518000038 under Vista. I set the global option to request a return receipt on any message I sent, sent a message from my fastmail.fm account to one of my gmail accounts, and pressed the button to allow the return receipt to be sent when I read it there. However, BOTH my fastmail and gmail accounts inbox got a return receipt message. They had the same message-id header and message body. I believe it should have only been sent to the fastmail.fm account. If there is some reason why the gmail account should have a copy, I'd have expected it in the sent mail folder. Reproducible: Always

I'm only getting it from my non gmail. Eric can you list the complete config of your MDNs when this happens ?
Attached file Message sent to gmail
Entering mdn in the filter: in about:config shows all settings that contain that string are set to default values. mail.mdn.report.enabled true mail.mdn.report.not_in_to_cc 2 mail.mdn.report.other 2 mail.mdn.report.outside_domain 2 mail.server.default.mdn_not_in_to_cc 2 mail.server.default.mdn_other 2 mail.server.default.mdn_outside_domain 2 mail.server.default.mdn_report_enabled true
I have the same settings and don't get the same results :(
Matt, alta, can you reproduce this?
I have the same settings. Sent mail Local Exchange server to Gmail. Gmail to Exchange Yahoo to Gmail Gmail to Yahoo Bigpond ISP to Gmail All receipts returned correctly. No observance of the duplication.
Odd, but wouldn't the system _receiving_ the message containing the RR request control which system gets a RR?

Reporter do you still see this problem when using recent version of Thunderbird?
