User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux mips64; rv:2.0) Gecko/20110519 Firefox/4.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux mips64; rv:2.0) Gecko/20110519 Firefox/4.0
firefox4 dosen't work when using -march=mips64 option to build the firefox4 while it supports -march=mips3
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1,I use the following configure to firefox4 on Debian6 on loongson 3a:
./configure --prefix=/opt/firefox4 --with-pthreads --disable-crashreporter --disable-updater --disable-tests --disable-xprint --disable-mochitest --disable-debug --enable-application=browser --disable-necko-wifi --enable-system-cairo --enable-optimize="-O3 -march=mips64"
there is no error in "make" and "make install " progress
2,run /opt/firefox4/bin/firefox &.
3,it can startup, but the whole screen is dark, I can see any text.
4,If I use -march=mips3 instead of mips63:
./configure --prefix=/opt/firefox4 --with-pthreads --disable-crashreporter --disable-updater --disable-tests --disable-xprint --disable-mochitest --disable-debug --enable-application=browser --disable-necko-wifi --enable-system-cairo --enable-optimize="-O3 -march=mips3"
The firefox4 run well.
Actual Results:
can not see anything on firefox UI frame
Expected Results:
can support mips64 CPU arch

xiuzhi: With bug 638056 fixed, is this still an issue in FF 14.0.1 or newer?
Version: unspecified → 4.0 Branch
Andre: Both firefox14 and firefox15 cann't be built on loongson mips3A,while firefox12 can be built successful. firefox15 has an error :"security/nss/lib/util/nssutil.def:1: syntax error in VERSION script" same as x86 platform. I am trying the latest firefox version
