659202 - Tablet VKB covers up panning of auto filled textboxes

On tablet, the VKB will pop open only to cover up any text boxes that may be only visible at the bottom of the page.   In other words, the pages do not pan and jump to the text box when selected.   User can *sometimes* (depends on the device, Huawei S7 doesnt work) scroll the page up to get to the textbox, but fennec should shift the content page automatically when VKB is present.

Repro:
1) install nightly android on tablet (moto Xoom): Mozilla/5.0 (Android; Linux armv71; rv:6.0a1) Gecko/20110523 Firefox/6.0a1 Fennec/6.0a1
2) In landscape mode, visit a content page where the text box is at the bottom and clicking it will launch VKB (eg. use Mozilla captive portal page)
3) Click the textbox, and watch the VKB appear
4) Verify the VKB covers up the content page area where the textbox is.

Expected:
- shift the content page up and jump the view to the textbox when tablet VKB is visible

Actual;
- content page doesn not automatically shift.  VKB covers up the text box

(curses! why doesn't Firefox recover typed comments on crash recovery?)

After a couple months of using Fennec on tablets for an hour or two a day, this feels like one of the top usability issues we've got. I see that it's tracking fennec plus but it's not at all obvious where this falls in Fennec priorities. With no assignee to email or IRC with, I'm just asking in the bug. Do we have someone looking into this? Is it behind other more important front-end work?
