In order to present an icon to the user FF connects securely to www.mibbit.com when Application preferences for irc/ircs a viewn.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Edit/Preferences/Applications
2. clickt at Content Type-field named "irc" or "ircs"

Actual Results:  
A HTTPS connection to www.mibbit.com (port 443) is opened presumalby in order to fetch a site icon.

Expected Results:  
Do not connect.

dist/bin/chrome/en-US/locale/browser-region/region.properties which goes into omni.jar contains the URL assignments.

I can also observe issue - not sure though that this represents a bug.

On Windows the icon is present ever since the drop-down menu is displayed.

Issue persists in Firefox 28. May be hidden by setting browser.chrome.favicons to false.
