Steps to reproduce:
1. Launch Firefox/Aurora on a clean profile and open the about:Firefox window
2. Choose the "Change" option to switch to another channel (i.e. "beta" channel)
3. Click the "Apply and update" button
4. Close the window ("x" button) and reopen it from the menu

Expected result:
After step 4 the download/switching process is either expected to restart from the beginning or continue from where it stopped

Actual result:
After step 4, the download/switching process hangs.

The channel switcher was removed in bug 659972, so this shouldn't be a problem anymore.

However, it sounds like this may be an issue that could happen with regular update downloads. Cc'ing Rob in case he knows about this issue.

Haven't seen this before and I have tried the steps several times prior to this bug being filed. Might just be something that happened with the addition of the channel switching ui which is now removed.
