Mozilla/5.0 (Android; Linux armv7l; rv:7.0a1) Gecko/20110624 Firefox/7.0a1 Fennec/7.0a1 Currently when one begins a text selection, one is capable of dragging a handle over multiple objects such as images and embedded objects. The Android stock browser will confine the selection by not allowing the user to select the objects that are non-text. Fennec should confine to text only.
Summary: Limit or confine active text selection to text selection only → Limit or confine active text selection to text only
Madhava - Should Fennec duplicate the desktop approach at copying *everything* when you select all, or should mobile confine the focus to text and only text selection*. * (when sending SMS messages with selected text, I don't want to mistakenly send pictures and what not, even if they are selected but not copied)

This may be a limitation of the android clipboard in Froyo and earlier, which only supports text selection. Gingerbread adds support for selection more types of data. > Fennec should confine to text only. Why? Again, why? > * (when sending SMS messages with selected text, I don't want to mistakenly > send pictures and what not, even if they are selected but not copied) how would that happen mistakenly?
