There are a couple of Thunderbird pages and some old redirects in the /projects/thunderbird directory on mozilla.org. They were accessible until recently but now I'm getting a Thunderbird branded 404 page error for those links (must be something with the new /thunderbird pages).
You can view the pages in the repository at
http://viewvc.svn.mozilla.org/vc/projects/mozilla.org/trunk/projects/thunderbird/
There's no need to bring them back and it would be good to remove them since I believe they were abandoned. The pages were getting traffic though, so we should redirect them somewhere appropriate -- either the new Thunderbird pages or perhaps the how to get involved with Thunderbird pages on the wiki since the previous content was about how to get involved.
I also want to point out one thing with the .htaccess redirects here. Since the Thunderbird content has moved from mozilla.org to mozilla.com to mozillamessaging.com to mozilla.org again, the redirects are going through a bunch of hops. For instance, this redirect is going through 4 URLs now.

This is a general issue with many Firefox redirects as well since many Firefox pages were on mozilla.org years ago. CC'ing James so he's aware of this.

Sancus, how would you like to handle removing the Thunderbird pages in the mozilla.org/projects/thunderbird directory?
http://viewvc.svn.mozilla.org/vc/projects/mozilla.org/trunk/projects/thunderbird/
These don't get tons of traffic, but they do get some so it would be good to not have these pages 404. I don't think any of the pages are worth migrating, but I'll hold off on removing them until you give the go ahead.

FWIW, the Thunderbird projects page seems to be showing up again now instead of 404'ing.

Sancus, can you move forward with archiving or migrating the remaining pages in /projects/thunderbird?

This isn't actually a dupe as it concerned the pages under http://www.mozilla.org/thunderbird/projects which haven't been fully resolved, I've added a rewrite for the remaining pages under this directory in r112736 and I will delete from SVN and mark this fixed when those go live.

This bug isn't fixed, unfortunately -- This is to remove the project pages and they're not removed, they're still in SVN. http://viewvc.svn.mozilla.org/vc/projects/mozilla.org/trunk/projects/thunderbird/
Please don't change bug status based on guesses about what a svn revision did :/ Pinging in a bug to see what's happened would be better, if you're not sure...
I don't want to remove these pages just yet.
