There are several issues with Google in Firefox for Android:
(1) Google reader shows the simple mobile version instead of the touch version
(2) When forced into the touch version (using Phony add-on set to "Android") the touch interface seems to work well. However, there are small layout issues with the top of the page (see attached screenshot)
Layout issues may be related to WebKit-specific code in the HTML / CSS. See also https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=668218 (rendering issue with Google+) and https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=668275 (rendering issue with GMail)

Since getting the Samsung tablet at the all hands I've been trying to use Google Reader in nightly with my user agent set to desktop Firefox or Android. In either case, the further I go down my reading list the worse the display becomes with images and text appearing and disappearing. Often an image or block of text is cut off and then loads but they then sometimes completely disappear only to come back a second or two later.

The version of the mobile UI at http://www.google.com/reader/i/ seems to work best in Fennec. We have been trying to convince Google to serve this version to Fennec users by default.

The default Google Reader seems to use overflow: scroll divs, so that might be due to bug 538612.

FWIW, I really don't like that version of google reader :( It's made for a phone.
Endless scroll FTW!
