From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; m18) Gecko/20010127 BuildID: 2001012708 When following a link from the kuro5hin.org front page to this (very large) page, I saw the bar freeze while waiting for the server and then begin to move over; the browser then froze and required a ctrl-alt-del (and a long wait) to kill off. Seamonkey experiences no problems loading this page. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Attempt to load the page above using the latest nightly under Win98 SE (128 MB physical memory, true color, 1024x768 display). Actual Results: Browser froze, required 3-finger salute to kill. Expected Results: Loaded the page. I only waited ten or fifteen seconds before deciding that the browser had indeed frozen; however, even if it would have rendered after that time, I would still not find the freezing of other Mozilla windows to be acceptable. I experience no problems loading other large pages with similiar HTML, e.g. pages from Chofmann's Browser Buster.
Using Build 2001012708, Win98SE, 128MB RAM, 1024x768@32-bit I crashed too after a while (slow 56K connection) trying to load the page. While the page was loading the other windows I had open still functioned (i could scroll, i didn't try navigating), but then it froze. I tried it a second and crashed again.
Froze all moz-windows for some minutes on Linux - then the page suddenly rendered after all. No slowness when first loaded. Broke it in gdb while it struggled as worst, and saw Program received signal SIGINT, Interrupt. 0x40c5fed5 in nsBindingManager::GetBinding () from /usr/local/mozilla/components/libgklayout.so Confirming bug, OS: All. Not sure what's going on here; layout, event-handling, compositor or what.

Ever confirmed: true

I think a talkback report will help us more perhaps, or a longer stack trace.
Attempted to load page with a talkback build; moz froze completely, and no talkback 'do you wish to send...' dialugue appeared when it was killed. I do not have access to a debugger, being a college freshman.
Win98 2001.01.27.08 I waited for a few minutes and it did eventually load for me too.
I tried again and left it sitting there, apparently frozen, while I went to get some coffee. It does indeed load, but takes disproportionately longer than other pages from the same site.
This is a duplicate of either bug 61684 or bug 57966 (depending on whether this is a parser problem or a tables problem). Based on discussion in bug 61684, this is most likely a parser problem, so dupping against that bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 61684 ***
