User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:5.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/5.0 Build ID: 20110615151330 Steps to reproduce: I changed the gui settings: some icons, tab's, location bar & bookmark bar in one line (bookmarks are nameless); btw, looks great ;) Actual results: opening some tabs the bookmarks are hided (ok, no more space for them) after closing some tabs, the hided bookmarks aren't displayed as before (watch attachement) (sry for bad english :|)

add a splitter between bookmarks and the tabs, it should make it work.
Component: Tabbed Browser → Toolbars
QA Contact: tabbed.browser → toolbars
Summary: bookmarks hidden → bookmark bar hide

Or better, a splitter just before bookmarks.

Step 3 in the screenshot looks like a bug in the bookmarks bar binding.

Yes it's possible, not a binding problem though since we don't have a binding, most likely a js issue.
This video shows the bookmarks disappearing after many tabs are added.
This issue is still occuring in Firefox 9.01 and in the latest nightly builds. It is indeed very annoying. Related to bugs: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=595080 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=643274 SUMO link: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/915070
