Details

I wanted to dissociate my local browser profile with my sync account so I clicked Preferences -> Sync -> Deactivate This Device. The wording "Deactivate This Device" sounds safe since it implies that the Sync account lives on, untouched, and just my local computer is changed. However, the popup says "This will reset all of your Sync account information and preferences." and "Reset All Information" which makes me worried that I might actually be trashing my (shared) sync account. I was actually too scared to click "Reset All Information" to know what it really does. Assuming that "Reset All Information" only affects the local computer, perhaps the wording in the dialog could be changed to reflect the fact that only "this machine" is being changed?
I'm moving this bug to Services, since the right people will be more likely to see it there.
