User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 9.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/5.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; .NET4.0C; .NET4.0E; AskTB5.6) Steps to reproduce: writing any email produces this effect Actual results: If the email is autosaved or saved prior to sending, Thunderbird flags the draft message as an unread message on the relevent mail account heading Expected results: In all previous versions Thunderbird ignored the draft folder for unread messages.
I can confirm this. I also suspect this issue of exposing a weird behavior with GMail on Android, which is appeared after upgrading to TB 5.0. When a reply message is sent, the autosaved draft is moved to the Trash and is still marked as unread. GMail tends to notice this as new mail in the conversation and is thus a) notifying about a new mail and b) showing my draft (or many versions of the draft) as responses to the original mail labeling it as 'Trash'. I think this is equally TB's and GMails fault, but I think restoring the known behavior from older TB versions should be the easiest way to get this issue resolved.
