Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/534.30 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/12.0.742.122 Safari/534.30

Steps to reproduce:

I open two copies of thunderbird at once, and both log in to the same IMAP account. They both retrieve the same messages. I read all the messages on one computer, and delete them. The tray icon for new mail on that computer disappears. The other computer checks for new mail, sees that there is no mail in the inbox, and updates the local inbox

Actual results:

However, the new mail tray icon stays there. I have to wait for more mail to come in, and delete that, to fix it

Expected results:

The new mail icon should have disappeared immediatly

Summary: New mail tray icon doesnt disappear when mail is deleted from another computer IAMP → New mail tray icon doesnt disappear when mail is deleted from another computer IMAP
Component: General → Untriaged
I see the exact same issue. Though for me it always helps to select another folder or another account's folder to reset the flag.

This bug seems to be connected to this bug 232104
where the same action helps. Though it is neither a solution nor a workaround.
