From the Thunderbird menu bar, select [Tools > Options]. On the Options window, select [Advanced > Update]. On the Update tab, select the Show Update History button. The result is "No updates installed yet".
On the other hand, from the Thunderbird menu bar, select [Tools > Add-ons]. On the Add-ons Manager tab, select Recent Updates. I see an extension that I installed yesterday.

The first option is to see Thunderbird's updates. The second for extensions. So I don't see where there is a conflict -> INVALID.

This is not at all clear in the user interface. If Thunderbird is indeed operating as intended, the wording of the "Show Update History" button in the first case should be something like "Thunderbird Update History"; and the "View Recent Updates" menu item from the Add-ons Manager utility menu should be something like "Recent Add-ons Updates".
I am reopening this bug report to have the user interface made more clear.

The current options > advanced panel has no mention of add-ons. So it should be reasonably clear.
