Steps to reproduce:

We need to send an email to our Beta and Aurora user segments to let them know about the beta launch of Web apps.

The business goals of this launch are to get real world testing of the Web App platform, prior to the 1.0 launch of Web Apps and the app-store in Q4.

Goals of this email are to increase downloads of the Web-app add-on, and clikthrus to the collection of apps that will be available at launch.

This email will need to launch on September 22nd.

* Techier than most, willing to give new products a trial, and provide feedback to make Mozilla's app offering even better

Benefits and takeaways:

* BENEFITS: Mozilla's App project offers users an EASY to user App marketplace, where relevant Apps are easily DISCOVERED, with an app marketplace that is CUSTOMIZED for you.
* MOZILLA'S APPS MISSION: We want to create an app ecosytem centred around you, where YOU are the owner of your apps, and NOT your device

Mandatories:

* Overview of Apps mission, beta launch news, and feedback channels
* Overview of Apps Benefits - must be clear in copy, design (iconography) and screenshots.
* Primary (above fold) CTAs
1. Download the Apps Add-on (which enables Apps installation)
2. Visit the App store
* Suggested downloadable Apps under the following TBC categories (apps to be provided shortly): Games, Utilities, News
* Design and Copy must be communicate core Mozilla brand values; in particular "revolutionary" and "open"
* Design must match app store and Mozilla.com product pages so user flow is smooth.

Dan, please also help provide additional content direction for Matej.  Which email template are we using here? What are the different areas for copy? How long should this email message be?  Do you have a rough draft of what you want to say here?

If we're basing this off of the landing page copy and asking people to download and try apps (please let me know if this is incorrect), I think I have mostly everything I need. Looking at comment 1, the main thing that stands out is what the feedback channels are (first point under mandatories).

We're off tomorrow for Easter, so probably the earliest I could get you a draft would be Tuesday or Wednesday. I'll keep you posted and let you know if I have any other questions.

Dan, if this is a duplicate of bug #738425 (which it seems to be) please lets close this out to avoid confusion. If this is separate, please update and add to tracking bug #738428  We are only working off of the bugs tracked on that list.
