Please design a first run page for the back to school byob. Keep the regular first run elements at the bottom of the page (newsletter signup and social links), but in the main area, please highlight the add-ons featured in the build.

Hey Lee, 

One idea I'm discussing with Jane is swapping out the mobile promo on the bottom of the FR page and putting in a promo to talk about how we're a not-for-profit browser and maybe link to the brand video. Do you think that could work?

More detail from Jane. I think, rather than pulling the mobile button (as we need to keep promoting it), maybe just a link to the video and a "learn more about our not-for-profit mission"

What do you think?
I'm sure we can find a way to weave that message in, and explore a link to the video... as discussed.  We've done that before.  I just want to make sure we don't have 10 different messages vying for your attention.  But for now I say lets focus on the main landing page, and then tackle the related promos.
Meanwhile, I should say, Matej can certain work on massaging that copy into the different bugs.

Yeah, we are, but I'm waiting for confirmation from Mayumi that it's okay. I'll let you know as soon as I hear back from her.
As one option, I think we could add that messaging to the end of the existing copy:

Discover <a>thousands more</a> to help you at school, at work or at play. And <a>learn more</a> about our non-profit mission to keep you in control of your Web.
Got word back from Mayumi and we need to keep the mobile promo section there (she also suggests updating it, but I told her I would ask to see if that's in scope). 

I think Matej's solution would work well in light of the update from Mayumi.

Mayumi has also suggested the following: 

One other possibility is to make mobile a 5th tool in the main box and then use the lower box for the mission.  Basically mobile needs to be on there but doesn't need that particular spot.

All, let me know which you think makes the most sense. As Tara pointed out, this doesn't need to be resolved until we have the landing page sussed out.

Thanks for the PSD for this. I thought we were going to discuss the First Run page once the landing page was done and see if the not-for-profit messaging would work like we were discussing above. 

Let me know if this changed or if we made a call about this that I missed.

No problem, Chelsea. I uploaded everything bc I wanted to get everything in to you/SilverOrange ASAP. If we need make some tweaks to this page and we have the time, that's fine - I'll just update the final files in the link, once we're done-done.

So in Lee, Tara, what do you think about the not-for-profit message? It's currently on the download page, but is there a place for it here?
To be honest.  I'd say no.  The space is already crammed with content.  So, I dont' see the point of adding more here.
